Join us and learn about some of the most feared and fascinating creatures in the ocean, sharks. Becky has been documenting Whale Sharks, Great Whites and dozens of other species in Mexico and the Caribbean. Becky Kagan Schott, along with husband, David Schott, will wow you with their U/W adventures! Name it, they’ve done it AND, to be sure, they’ve FILMED it!! Their projects have taken them all over the world from documenting historic wrecks in the Great Lakes, Japan and Truk Lagoon to filming wild dolphins, whales and great white sharks…cageless! They are always working on some adventurously exciting topside or underwater documentary project.

Nautical Archeology: 2nd Century B.C. Roman Shipwrecks off the Turkish coast

February 6, 2013 at 7pm

Dr. Partrick was the medical officer for a 2009-2011 trip off the Turkish coast where they dove on 2nd Century BC Roman shipwrecks and a Roman Temple. Of particular interest to all you tech divers, along with lots of photos, videos and tales of human interest, he will present the specialized treatment of DCS in remote locations. What you can do to save someone’s life who is suffering from decompression sickness on a technical dive trip on the far reaches of the planet! And as a special treat, he will be sharing with us first his experiences on his current January 2013 expedition to Sri Lanka!

Join us at Barnaby’s of West Chester on the second floor. The meeting begins at 7pm and the speaker begins at 8pm. All are welcome, members and non-members. If you like what you see please support the dive club by joining, dues are only $25/year same as they have always been!
