Advanced Diver Classes

The Advanced Diver program is designed for newly certified scuba divers to continue their education about the exciting underwater world. It is also a great way to get back into diving for anyone who has taken a little hiatus.

Each advanced class consists of 1 classroom session to discuss all of the course objectives, schedules and equipment needs. The majority of the course is conducted on site at the open water diving location. You will be introduced to a variety of diving environments and styles. You will need to complete 6 Scuba dives in an open water environment.

We have three different options for you to choose from. You can complete the dives with us at Dutch Springs, travel with us and do your dives in a warmer environment, or you can do your dives during one of our many New Jersey wreck dives during the summer. The Nitrox certification can also be combined with  your Advanced Certification.

Some of the Topics covered during the class:

Advanced dive planning Advanced buoyancy control
Air consumption calculation Equipment selection/configuration

You will also be introduced to:

Boat Diving Wreck Diving
Underwater Navigation Night Diving
Marine Life Identification Search and Recovery

Advanced Diver Class Tuition: $200

Class Includes:

  • Instruction over 2 days of diving at Dutch Springs
  • Registration with PADI or NAUI

Does not include:

  • Equipment for the Advanced Dives
  • Entrance fees to Dutch Springs

Scuba Equipment is available for rent. However, this is an excellent opportunity to consider purchasing equipment with the advice and help of a diving professional. The equipment needed will be a suitable wetsuit or drysuit, 2 tanks, regulator, BC, dive computer, and compass.
