Ginnie Springs in Northern Florida offers some of the most fascinating diving in the state. We can offer open water training dives in warm water for an affordable trip, basic cavern diving for those who want to further their skills, river diving for the artifact hunter, or cave diving for the most adventurous souls.
If you are a warm-blooded person like most of us you may not want to jump into a cold quarry to do your certification dives.  A 4 or 5 day trip to Ginnie Springs is the perfect solution to this dilemma.  Come down and certify in the 72 degree waters of Ginnie Cavern, Devil's Eye/Ear Cavern, and the Santa Fe River.

Travel Details

We depart from Dudas' Diving Duds and drive all night in shifts to High Springs, Florida, usually a 15 hour drive. We usually arrive midday and settle in the cottage and then head over to Ginnie for an evening dive to prepare everybody for their classes or dives for the weekend. Cavern/Intro and Apprentice/Full Cave Classes take up Saturday, Sunday, Monday. After we have crammed as much diving in as we can, we pile back in the van and head home usually arriving home on Tuesday Morning.

If you don't feel like making the 15 hour drive, then you can meet us at Ginnie Springs by flying into Jacksonville, FL and renting a car, thus making the drive to Ginnie only 1 1/2 hours.
 

Ginnie Springs Costs

• Accommodations at a private rental cottage if more than 5 people and if available; otherwise at a local motel

• Food costs; We either purchase groceries and divide up costs or go out for dinner at local restaurants

• Fuel Costs are divided equally between the passengers of each vehicle.

• Entrance Fees to Ginnie Springs- $19/cave diver or $25/open water diver per day; other parks are subject to their own fees

• Oxygen and Air Fills

• Open water certification fees - $199

• Regulator w/ Octopus

• Lights (1 Primary & 1 Back Up)

• Reels (1 Primary/team & 1 Safety Reel/diver

Cavern & Intro to Cave - $399*

• Single Tank w/H valve or Doubles

• 2 Regulators - 1 with a 5' or 7' hose

• Lights (1 primary and 2 back ups)

• Reels (1 Primary/team & 1 Safety Reel/diver)

• 5 or 7mm Wetsuit or Drysuit
